Episode 10 - Getting Partyish

Adventure Recap:

The feast of Gub-Gub has finally arrived, and there is much partying. The village is filled with people and there is lots of food and contests all over. Tort joins the archery contest, but fails miserably. She goes with Gerrig and joins the rock throwing contest. While there she makes an impressive throw that almost gets her third place but Gerrig beats her. She also runs into an acquaintance. Lenny participates in the arm wresting contest, but loses to the chief. Determined to win something, Lenny and Tort join the blazin frog leg eating contest. Lenny and Tort tie for the first round, but Tort ends up pulling ahead in the second round.

Gerrig spends the day experiment with a group of other Bugbears. He decides to go full Bugbear for the night, and manages to attract the gaze of female Bugbear. He spends the night drinking. The partying winds down early in the morning and mostly everyone just falls asleep where they were standing. A few hours later, our heros wake up to the find that a previous foe has returned to terrorize the village.

Episode 9 - It Done Been Did

Adventure Recap:

The group faces off against Mog and Mauler in the cave. Gerrig is floating on the ceiling, due to the mystery potion that he drank in the previous episode. AFter some back and forth, Mauler is killed. Later Gerrig takes a dive from the ceiling with his trident and fatally stabs Mol, the ogre.

Episode 8 - Funny Business

Adventure Recap:

Its the day before the feast of Gub-Gub and there's trouble brewing between the Wart Tongue tribe and the Black Eye tribe. The Wart tongue tribe has accused the chief of stealing the statue that they had carved as a peace treaty for the feast. In order to keep the peace, our heroes volunteer to venture into the woods to see if they can track down what really happened to the statue. Two of the wart tongue goblins go with them, and the group tracks the up to a large cave.

Inside the cave, they find to over-sized baby wolves. Gerrig accidentally kills one of them. Tort quickly subdues the other one just as a much larger, angry mother wolf enters the cave.

Episode 7 - The Secret of the Golden Egg Cup

Adventure Recap:

After defeating Brakis and his gang, our heroes search the remaining goblins pockets and question them about the brands on their arms. The goblins tell them of a mysterious "Dark Master" with whom Brakis was in contact. The heroes find out that the goblins were on a search for the "Dark Master" to find a magical key. Gerrig finds out that the strange black liquid in his potion bottle is poison and has an internal debate as to whether he still has to drink it or not. Tort gets bored and starts investigating the other rooms in the cave. She comes across a storage room filled with food and some human sheets and underwear. Not knowing what the underwear is she tries to put it on. Lenny comes into the storage room and starts taking bites out of all the vegetables.

Tort moves onto Brakis' room and raids his treasure. She finds a bag of coins, a single magical coin, candied almonds, and a golden egg cup. She also sees a crude looking brand that seems to match the brands on the goblins. She takes all the things she finds and shows the brand to the other two.

The group takes the remaining goblins back to the chief and after getting healed by Heglak, they spend the rest of the evening roaming the town.

Episode 6 - The Nearby Far Mountain Way

Adventure Recap:

Gerrig, Lenny, and Tort are tied up in large room in the cave and are surrounded by Brakis and his men. Gerrig tries to stand up, but his ankles are tied which causes him to fall over. Brakis tells them to give him one good reason why he shouldn't kill them. Gerrig then tells him about a secret treasure hid along the Far Mountain Way. Brakis begins asking questions about the apparent treasure, and Gerrig claims that Tort know more about the treasure than he does. Tort tells Brakis the rumors of the treasure of Far Mountain Way. While Tort is talking to Brakis, Lenny manages to break free of the rope around her ankles. She stands up and tries to cut the rope around her hands on the spear that Brakis is holding. A minor scuffle ensues and Tort tells them that if they leave the other two alone, then she will take him to the treasure.

Tort leads half of the goblins out of the tunnel. When she gets to the top of the tunnel, she motions to her badger to hide in the trees. After the badger hides in the trees, she walks out of the cave and into the forest. Meanwhile, Lenny is distracting the remaining goblins while Gerrig escapes from his ropes. He successfully escapes his ropes without the goblin henchmen noticing. Tort yells to Nibs to attack and he barrels through the trees and mauls one of the henchmen. Gerrig kills one of the henchmen still in the cave.

Gerrig unties Lenny and gives her the last of the mushroom soup. Tort heads for the trees, and her badger makes an unsuccessful swipe at the next closest goblin. Brakis spears the badger and seriously wounds him. Gerrig gets out his trident and starts running for the entrance of the cave. Tort sees her badger get seriously wounded. She launches herself at Brakis and hits him hard enough to cause him run away. As the last henchmen tries to follow Brakis, Tort incapacitates him as well.

Episode 5: Poop Face Yourself!

Adventure Recap:

Gerrig quickly recovers from his shock of accidentally killing one of the goblins that attacked them. He loots the body and finds some various weapons and a mysterious potion bottle with black liquid. Lenny tries to heal Tort's wounds, but doesn't succeed. They track Brakis' band of goblins to a cave. Gerrig carries the dead goblin with them. When they get to the cave, Lenny suggests they should throw the goblin down into the cave in case there are traps. Lenny follows the body down into the cave and rolls the dead body out in front of her. The floor gives way beneath the body and it falls into a pit full of spikes.

The sound of the floor cracking under the body causes the goblins to come out into the main tunnel. Gerrig attempts to suck the light out of the tunnel, but doesn't succeed. However, he manages to intimidate one of the goblins to the point of being shaken. Tort lowers her bow and asks them if she could talk to Brakis. The goblin goes to find him, and the group rearranges their order in the tunnel. Gerrig unleashes his powers of wall walking. He is surrounded by goblins who attempt to stab him with spears.

Brakis comes around the corner and Gerrig grapples him. Lenny squeezes past Gerrig into the tunnel. She tries to persuade them to lower their weapons with a very winded explanation of way they are there. Tort tries to knock Brakis out, but he manages to wiggle out of Gerrig's grip. He smashes a bottle of purple liquid in the middle of the group, the resulting vapor cloud causes Lenny and Gerrig to pass out. Tort manages to stay awake, but after climbing over Gerrig, she realizes she is outnumbered and pretends to pass out.

Episode 4: A Pretty Good Deal

Adventure Recap:

After saving the goblin children from being turned into soup, the heroes take some time to explore Black Eye Village. Lenny goes in search of work to fulfill her need for money. She encounters a goblin selling armor, and notices a shiny chain mail shirt. Using her great bartering skills, she manages to get the armor, some furs and some boots. The merchants tell her that the chief has some jobs that she could do. She goes to him and convinces him that she is a might warrior. Being impressed, he asks her to go back into the woods and investigate the infernal things that have been happening.

She finds Gerrig, who has stayed at the hut to investigate the stuff he acquired from human wizard. Lenny asks him if he would live to help her "save the world" and mentions that if they don't go on this quest the humans could be in great danger. He tells Lenny a very personal secret, and reveals that even though he may give off the appearance of a human he wasn't a human. The decided not to tell Tort about this at the moment.

Lenny and Gerrig take off to find Tort, who has been aimlessly riding her badger, Nibs, around the town. When they ask her if she wants to help them "save the world", she tells them that she doesn't care about the humans. This causes some slight awkward tension, but she agrees to go with them. The group decides to find Garthok, who they left tied up in the woods. Hoping she would have some insightful information, they go talk to the village shaman, Heglak. She is actually rather helpful, and tells them that it is against Garthok's nature to resort to cannibalism. She fondly pats Tort on the head as the group thanks her and heads off to find Garthok.

While they are walking through the woods, Lenny hears something rustling in the woods nearby. The group proceeds cautiously, but are ambushed by a small group of goblins. Brakis, the leader of the group, tells them to give them all of their weapons. Tort starts drawing her bow to aim at the goblins in the trees, and then recognizes Brakis. He tells her to stop drawing her bow or the archers will shoot. Thinking he is bluffing, she continues drawing her bow. One of the archers hits her and manages to wound her.

Lenny tries to intimidate Brakis, but doesn't succeed. She notices on that Brakis has the same infernal symbol freshly branded on his arm. The group struggles to get out of the situation. Finally, Gerrig manages to get a hold on one of the henchmen, and accidentally kills him. Seeing their comrade get killed, the rest of the goblins take off into the woods.

Episode 3: The Fungus Strikes Back

Adventure Recap:

The heroes make their way through the crack in back of the cave. While making their way towards the glowing blue light, the rocks underneath them begin to give way. Gerrig manages to leap backwards with such a force that it tears the space time continuum in the cave (or so the GM implies). Lenny and Tort fall to ground beneath them.

When the rocks settle, they notice a oozing translucent blob slowly inching towards them. Gerrig uses magic to illuminate his body with a bright green glowing light. He questions whether the group should continue looking for the blue mushroom. After Lenny and Tort convince him to join them, he ties a rope to the top of the cliff he is standing on and descends. After some unsuccessful attempts to stab the creature, Gerrig learns what a bathtub is.

The group finds that the creature can be hurt by fire. Lenny devises a plan to cover the creature in the squig juice and sets it on fire. The creature shrivels up and dies. The smell of the burning blob makes Lenny unbearably sick. They retrieve the rare blue mushroom and exit the cave. Tort ties some squig teeth and claws to her badger, then calls for Garthok. He emerges from the bushes once again and a negotiation for information takes place.

Garthok agrees to show them where the children went, but the group loses track of him when he dashes back into the shrubbery. After some effort, Tort manages to track Garthok to a large clearing, where he is cooking a large pot of soup. Lenny sees the goblin children tied up not too far from the pot.

Concerned for the children's safety, Lenny begins running towards Garthok with the intent to hit him with her axe. Feeling threatened, Garthok conjures two mushroom men to defend him. Lenny is stabbed by one of the mushroom men and spends the majority of the battle trying to stand back up. Finally, she manages to make it to her feet and deals Garthok a hard enough blow to the head to knock him unconscious. Gerrig tries to throw him into the soup. After deciding against it, he puts the remaining mushrooms in the soup.

The badger finds more mushrooms in Garthok's pockets and begins to eat them. Gerrig goes to investigate an sees a mysterious infernal symbol branded on the old man's arm. Lenny finally unties the children, and they eat the soup (minus the children) which makes them all feel rejuvenated. They take the children back to the village.

Episode 2: Fun with Fungus

Adventure Recap:

Before beginning their search for the goblin children, our heroes seek out the advice of a wise old woman in the village. On the way there, Gerrig accidentally reveals a secret family relationship. The old woman imparts some very....helpful information upon them. Tort tries to prank the old woman, and is unsuccessful. The heroes head off into the woods, relying on Tort's tracking skills to find the children. Tort and Lenny hear something following them, and Lenny calls out at it. An eccentric old man named Garthok bursts forth from the bushes. Garthok has been gathering mushrooms in the forest, and is carrying them in a pot. Gerrig manages to sneak multiple mushrooms from the man's pot, including the only yellow mushroom in the whole pot. Lenny asks if Garthok had seen the children. However, Garthok will only tell them where the children went if they bring him some mushrooms. The heroes agree and head east in search of the cave. Upon entering the cave, the heroes are engulfed in darkness.

The heroes begin searching for the mushrooms by torchlight. During this process, a group of pale fleshy fungal creatures come running at them. The heroes manage to fight them off, and Tort feels conflicted about killing the creatures. Unaware of this, Lenny squeezes the creature's juices into a potion bottle.

The heroes find a crack in the back wall of the cave. Tort pokes her head into the crack and sees a faint blue glow in the back of the cave.

Epsiode 1: Bonding over Demons

Adventure Recap:

Lenny, Tort, and Gerrig cross paths for the first time while coming to the aid of an adventuring party being chased by a shadowy black beast. After some questionably helpful tactics and a deadly lullaby, the unlikely heroes manage to wipe out the mysterious foe. Lenny attempts to heal the cleric, who with her last breath hands Lenny a key and gives her a cryptic message. Thinking the danger is past, Tort goes to investigate the limp shadowy figure. However, a fireball erupts from the shrubbery behind her and slams into the last remaining survivor of the adventuring party.

Two unnatural beings emerge from the bushes. Gerrig takes no notice and begins to search the pockets of the wizard. He loads his backpack with the treasures he finds. Tort lands an amazing hit on one of the beings, but the other being retaliates and sends Tort to the brink of death. Gerrig joins the fight and after revealing surprising language skills, takes out the other being.  The group takes the weapons from the beings and Gerrig gives himself a great pep talk as they head off toward Black Eye Village.

Upon reaching the village, the group finds the chief of the tribe. There seems to be some awkward tension between Tort and the chief. Much to the frustration of the chief, Tort agrees to help an older lady find her sons.
